A photo gallery of Kosovo’s capital frozen over by snow and frost.
Prishtina’s streets froze over as temperatures hit well below -10 Celsius degrees. The Municipality of Prishtina worked hard in keeping streets clean (with employees staying up all night to remove the snow), but freezing weather made it hard to escape the dangers of icy steps and pavements in the center. Over 250 traffic accidents were reported in the past six days, while 22 people have sought treatment for bone fractures at the Central University Clinic.
