Eight citizens of Kosovo have left Israel due to the ongoing tensions, while the Embassy is in contact and is trying to provide solutions to seven others, according to the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora.
On Tuesday, Israel continued its bombings on the Gaza Strip controlled by Hamas after the militant group threatened to kill some of the around 150 hostages it abducted over the weekend if the airstrikes continued without warning.
Various citizens from around the world, including Kosovo, were evacuated from this war zone, while the death toll in Israel has risen to 900 from the attacks by Hamas, for which Israel retaliated with bombings on Gaza, where around 700 have been killed, reports Radio Free Europe.
In response to BIRN, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo stated that as a result of the terrorist attack on the state of Israel at the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Jerusalem, eight citizens of Kosovo have so far sought help.
“All citizens of the Republic of Kosovo who sought help have already left the territory of the state of Israel,” the Ministry told BIRN, adding that seven other citizens have reached the Embassy.
“These individuals are safe and in good health,” the Ministry added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro announced on Tuesday through platform X[former Twitter] that the AirMontenegro plane from Tel Aviv landed in Podgorica with 101 passengers from Montenegro and eight other countries, including from Kosovo.
Also, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania announced on Sunday that 40 Albanians, including citizens from Kosovo and Northern Macedonia, were evacuated. Among these citizens from Kosovo was the daughter of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla.
