For more than two decades, disinformation in Kosovo has fueled ethnic hatred, legitimised violence, enabled terrorism, and, in some cases, led directly to murder.
The NATO-led peacekeeping force in Kosovo, KFOR, confirmed on Tuesday that they have authorised specialised teams from the Kosovo Security Force, KSF, to launch a search operation in and around a lake in northern Kosovo following reports that a 33-year-old man has been missing since having jumped into the lake two days ago.
Kosovo strongly condemned the detonation of two hand grenades at the Kosovo Post Office in Zvecan just after midnight on April 1, calling it “an act of terrorism.”
On February 17, Kosovo marked its 17th independence anniversary with celebrations. In Serb-majority Mitrovica, the sight of Albanian flags raised concerns, while security and law institutions failed to investigate the motive. Kallxo.com revealed that police have not reported all evidence to the prosecution.
As Kosovo investigates the suspected terrorist attack on a water canal, which caused significant damage to essential infrastructure, the US and EU condemned the blast – and said those responsible must be held accountable.
