A game of fear

Northern Kosovo is awash with conspiracy theories and scenarios of ending up in a new war. But who benefits from all this fear-mongering?

‘Like all Serbian citizens’

Djuric’s flippant statement about how he, like all Serbs, can travel freely to Schengen states, rubs salt in the wounds of Kosovo Serbs who clearly are not ‘like all Serbs.’

The panic Serbia and Kosovo leave in their wake

Marko Djuric is in Belgrade, the special police units withdrew from the north, and presidents Vucic and Thaci are asking everyone stay calm. Meanwhile, we the common people, deal with the panic they created.

Kosovo Serbs, ten years later

When we ask ourselves, 10 years after Kosovo’s declaration of independence, where Kosovo Serbs stand, there is no good answer. We are somewhere between two countries, without freedom of movement or adequate living standards.

A message to future generations

War criminals are not our heroes. Let the ICTY judgements serve as a reminder of the horrors of the ‘90s, and let us remember the victims rather than glorify the killers.
