By passing amendments to the Law on the Specialist Chambers, Kosovo’s parliament has taken the wrong approach to supporting former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders sentenced by the Hague-based court in September.
Following the war crimes convictions of former KLA leaders in The Hague, Kosovo’s assembly passed a bill attempting to curb the court’s powers. The bill now returns to the assembly for reconsideration.
